Zhu Zhu Pets Target – Zhu Zhu Pet Hamsters in Stock Below on Amazon, Toy Hamsters Selling Out on ToysRUs, Not Listed on Target or WalMart Websites…(Update: I just found them on Target.com — but they are listed under the old name of Go Go Pets, and as of this writing says: Arriving soon! Order now for shipment in 2 to 4 weeks — so order from Amazon.com where they’re in stock now:)

Find Zhu Zhu Pets in Stock Here on Amazon.com…

If you’re typing in “Zhu Zhu Pets Target” or “Zhu Zhu Pets Walmart” or “Zhu Zhu Pets ToysRUs” hoping to find the hot hamster toys at regular price, you might have to try hard. I’ve been checking Target.com, WalMart.com and ToysRUs.com — and only found the Zhu Zhu Pets at ToysRus.com, but they kept going “out of stock” so I put in my email address to “email me when available” from Target.com and haven’t gotten an email yet.

This morning I woke up early and drove to a WalMart store (I’d called at least 4 of them about the Zhu Zhu Pets) about 9 miles away from me — and that’s the only way I got my hands on Zhu Zhu Pets for $8 each. They also had a few of the accessories I bought — but not nearly enough in stock on the shelves to meet the demand that these toy hamsters are creating.

Anyway, if you don’t feel like trekking all over town for the Zhu Zhu Pets your kids are probably begging for, you can turn to Amazon:

Find Zhu Zhu Pets in Stock Here on Amazon.com…

The higher prices are to cover the Amazon Marketplace merchants cost in obtaining the Zhu Zhu Pets — plus cover the fees that Amazon takes from the sellers, and make a small profit — some more than others.

If you really want to find Zhu Zhu Pets in stock for $7.99 or $8.00

Do a lot of research and call all around if you’re up for it. Maybe you’ll get the gumption to drive miles away to get these things. They are fun. If you’re not up for the calling and trekking and researching…thank God for Amazon.

Amazon does have these pets available, but the “higher” costs are substantially higher (like $300 for the funhouse which is listed at a retail price of around $20) My daughter wanted a real hamster, but we have 3 cats so I figured that hamster would live a short and stressful life! These fake hamsters will probably not be as easy to eat! However, for $300 I now have a whole new reason to say no, unfortunately!

I think it should be against the law for people on amazon and ebay to buy all of these zhu zhu toys up so they can charge a fortune for people whos kids want them for christmas

g3mom  on September 30th, 2009

i agree with becka335. it should be against the law for these people on ebay and especially amazon. i mean get what you want for your kid and move on.

NITRANE  on October 2nd, 2009

i AGREE WITH EVERYONES STATEMENTS. tHESE PLACES SHOULD NOT RAISE THE PRICES SO THEY CAN MAKE A FEW EXTRA BUCKS. MY KIDS WANTED THEM SO BAD FROM SANTA SO I PAID FOR THEM JUST SO THEY CAN GET THEM.

Frustrate  on October 2nd, 2009

I agree , it is ridiculous that people are allowed to do this .. what is even worse is that they can do this and still sleep at night. Christmas is supposed to be for children and it is sad that a toy that is normally priced at $9.99 , which is affordable for most at a time when alot of people are having financial difficulties ,can be bought up by a bunch of people and be sold for as much as they are, making them unaffordable for most.Do these people have children themselves … I think if people refused to purchase from these people at inflated prices then they would be stuck with them and maybe then eventually they would learn the lessons of greed and it getting you nowhere.

determinedmom  on October 7th, 2009

I go to http://zoolert.com/zhu-zhu-pets-accessories-tracker/ and have almost gotten the complete set. I refuse to buy on ebay or amazon due to the high prices and stand at the stores on shipping days at 6 am like these mongers do. Also toys r us has a 3 pack of hamsters for 34.99 for pre-order before xmas.

sandra howle  on October 7th, 2009

Iwas told at wallmart this am that the zhu hamster is bought by one person and she brags she off to hit the other new shipments in the area. SURE ITS NOT AN INSIDE LEAK ! I ask if they could limit per coustomer NO But they limit cold medicine. LADY YOU ARE A GRINCH HAVE A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY AT THE EXPENSE OF A CHILD WHOSE PARENTS CANT PAY YOUR MONEY SCAM PRICES.

early bird  on October 8th, 2009

Something I don’t understand is why parents want to waste their time complaining against the seller’s on Amazon and eBay, but are fully willing to pay the price for toys that Walmart, TRU sets. You think they aren’t making a profit. In the past month TRU has raised the price of their Zhu Zhu Pets. Went like this $7.99 to $9.99, then to $10.99 and even to $11.99. Think if they weren’t so popular the price would keep increasing? TRU shouldn’t be allowed to do that.

Many online sellers that sell on ebay or Amazon buy their stock from an online store, from a supplier, or wholesaler.

mybabydj  on October 12th, 2009

Paying $20 for a toy instead of $8 for something out of stock that my child really wants surely can’t be that big of a deal. I remember when Cabbage Patch Kids first came out (a million years ago) and my mother travelled to Canada to purchase one for my sister and I… at $85 a piece, and we weren’t a wealthy family to say the least. They are a hot item, it’s a collectible. The traditional supply and demand… there aren’t enough of them made, so the price goes up. Do you REALLY think that Elmo Live should be priced at $60?? Kids love them, parents pay the price. Don’t wait until a week before Christmas when they are going for $80 a piece on eBay. Suck it up and fork out $20 now. What you really could do is just blame the company for not keeping up with the demand of the consumer, not that someone is smart and knows they can make a buck off it. Maybe resale is what they do for a living and these people are just trying to put clothes on their children’s backs…

I am a mother of 8 and I am disabled. These places are a real joke. Its no wonder the ecconomy is suffering. Its from people like these.I think it would be great if something was done about this.My children understand that there are heartless people in this world but they are kids.We should not have to teach them about these kinds of people at such a young age.Its no wonder there is no trust in our world anymore.

craftie  on October 14th, 2009

If you keep cheking places like Toys R Us and Walmart, they sometimes have some of the toys for the Zhu Zhu Pets. Toys R Us limits 2 per person per day.

stop-whining  on October 17th, 2009

Stop all the WHINING. Just go buy your kid something else. I mean REALLY , WHY MUST they have these junky mice that break in a couple days anyway? Sure my 3 year old went nuts when she saw the commericaal, but on Xmas daay she will be happy with many of the other, less over-priced toys out there, that are not being peddling by eBay Xmas Scalpers. .

Everyone forgets that there is ZERO Incentive for eBay or Amazon to stop sellers from gouging people because guess who gets their 15% off the Sale?

The gouging on these items is entirely way to high, i bought them for my kids using the site below, show realtime inventory.

Quitpoisoningournation  on October 26th, 2009

I am so tired of these web sites like ebay taking something like a child’s favorite toy and the desire for parents to fulfill their children’s christmas wish and extorting it all. It is just plain twisted and evil and greedy. I urge all parents to wait and not pay extra money from these greedy, soul-less, scrooge-driven extortionists. These manufacturers eventually catch up with the demand and we are all able to get our hands on whatever the latest craze is, without paying extra money or being completely screwed. Just tell your children the truth….mommy isn’t going to pay 3-5 times more for something when we can get it for a reasonable price, if we just wait. My children not only understand but they agree that it is ludicrous. The more people refuse to buy into the inflated pricing, the less it will occur….let’s face it, these assholes are creating the “out of stock” demand.

We have called at least 10 different Walmarts in Alabama this week and have managed to get almost all the accessory pieces and the main house at 2 we drove to, but no hamsters yet. You just have to be persistent and look, look, look. I refuse to pay the exorbitant prices on eBay or Amazon.

hmullen  on October 29th, 2009

Since there are hardly any hamsters on the shelves, it is none of your business if people want to pay more for them or not. The ebay prices are not that much higher, (around $18-20) and much more convenient, rather then spending all your time driving around to 20 different stores!!!!! Why are people so concerned about what others pay for an item!

supply and demand people, not too hard to figure out. I have have gone to the Walmart and Targets in the area’s I’ve been in lately and have managed to buy all the pets and playsets without any problems. Get off your but and go look, and if you don’t find them the first time, try again. People that go out once, and then start complaining–you’re ridiculous! I even bought some extras to give to my nieces, it was not too hard.

April  on November 5th, 2009

I happened to be in WalMart today and decided to see if they had any in stock. I was shocked to see that there were TWO left on the shelf since every other time I’ve gone looking for them, everyone is out of stock.

BUT…when I got to the checkout, the clerk told me they were coming up as “not allowed to sell” so she called a CSM over who said “yep, sorry, we can’t sell them.” I asked the CSM why and she called a manager over.

Turns out they’re listed as some kind of “blitz” item and WalMart is hoarding them until the day after Thanksgiving. Apparently the two I picked up were placed on the shelves by accident.

When I told the manager that it was ridiculous for them to hoard these items just to try and get people to come in on “Black Friday” and that if they weren’t going to sell them then they shouldn’t have them on the shelves. He told me “people make mistakes” and that I should understand that.

Um, no, I don’t understand that I can’t buy my 7 year old this toy that she’s been asking for since September (for her birthday) because WalMart wants to be greedy and use them to drag people into their store on the WORST shopping day of the year.

They finally gave me the number of a regional manager who was the only person authorized to sell them and even that guy tried to tell me “it’s in the system and we can’t override the system.” Well someone had to put them IN the system so someone knows how to bypass it.

Five minutes later, a very rude clerk came over and rang them up for me.

I won’t be going back there.

stopthemadness  on November 19th, 2009

Ok everybody. Calm down. There is nothing wrong with people who find a hot itme and sell it for people who are silly enough to pay it. Nobody is putting a gun to your head and forcing you to pay the 20+ bucks. To be honest the most of the people complaining are the same people who have have also sold stuff on ebay. I found my 3 kids zhu zhu pets no problem. do your research and get to the stores early. You go on a saturday afternoon you have nobody to blame but yourselfs. EBAY is here to stay I’m afraid. Better get use to it.

Santas Helper  on November 19th, 2009

Here is what is going to happen there will be a big surplus of the ZHU’s right before Thanksgiving or shortly right after. This will hurt any 3rd party sales of this toy. Don’t worry they will become available. Even if you cannot get them for Christmas you will be able to get them shortly after for about half the price. Get your kids LEGOs they at least allow kids to be creative.

I just wanted to stop by here and pass a tip along – don’t waste time at Target or the Toy Store. Buy these toys online and when you can. I finally found some in stock at GetZhuZhu.com about week ago and they arrived yesterday afternoon. The prices I got them at weren’t bad, but I would have loved to find them at retail price. Such a shame most of the people buying them are resellers on eBay trying to rob people. But, however you look at it, the toys are definitely awesome and I’d recommend them to anyone! I hope all the parents out there can get some of these for their kids this Xmas.

sillypeople45  on November 22nd, 2009

I agree with stopthemadness. Everywhere I look I see people constantly complaining about the over pricing, yet these same people are the ones buying it. I recently visited Etoys.com and it was amazing to see these posters on there complaining about how that company are selling these pets overpriced and they should be ashamed of themselves being a retail store…these same people who actually spent their money and bought it. No one have a gun to your head making you buy these products. It’s your choice, no need to complain. It’s ridulicous! If it’s too high for your blood, don’t buy them. How hard is that!! On Ebay, it’s crazy how the bidding can start out for .99 and in 20 minutes it’s now $40.00 and you actually have people buying it. So it’s not Ebay, Etoys, or any other reseller’s fault, it’s the CUSTOMER’S fault, because these companies can’t sell it that high, if stupid people wouldn’t be buying it. Get it!

The above comment “cheap Zhu Zhu Pets Hamster on line store”……..is a joke!!! NOT cheap at all!!!

Disgusted  on November 25th, 2009

isn’t this type of price manipulation called collusion? technically it is illegal

Not Disgusted  on November 26th, 2009

No, not collusion. Let’s refrain from quoting “law” when you clearly you are not a lawyer.

Collusion is a form of secret agreement between two or more people. These individuals typically meet secretly, reaching an agreement which is designed to deceive or defraud someone else, an organization, or the government. Collusion can take a number of forms, many of which are illegal, and you may have found yourself the victim of a form of lesser collusion as some point, as for example when your friends all privately agree on which film they want to attend before contacting you.

I can guarantee you that the people who went into the stores months ago and purchased Zhu Zhu Pets when they were in stock and are now selling them at a profit do not all know each other. There are hundreds of people selling them online, either through Amazon or Ebay. Zhu Zhu Pets have been out for months.

Kayjay  on November 27th, 2009

I would just like to know why every zhu zhu item on Amazon.com is from a third-party seller. Where is Amazon’s stock that should sell at normal retail pricing? And why isn’t toysrus selling on-line? Same for Walmart and Target.

Kayjay  on November 27th, 2009

Typical American greed. Maybe the White House will bail us out.

Motheroftwo  on November 28th, 2009

I agree this is ridiculous, something that is originally $9.99 is pushed up on ebay and amazon for $60, $70, $80 bucks. I mean they obviously didnt have a child to purchase it for if they are selling it. My daughter wants one so bad, the only thing she had on her christmas list and she wont get it b/c of people like that.

Susan  on November 29th, 2009

For the idiots who say “supply and demand”…it is NOT supply and demand, it is price gouging which should be, if it isn’t already, against the law. These greedy b*stards are cornering the market by buying up all of these toys at the reasonable price and then gouging everyone else. They need their *sses kicked.

Sherrie  on November 30th, 2009

NanaOfFive  on December 4th, 2009

I just found them at a CVS pharmacy near us. A clerk in Toys R Us told us that a customer mentioned that she’d found them there. We checked one near us and sure enough! They have stock in the back room and limit you to 2 per customer per day.

NanaOfFive  on December 4th, 2009

Oh, and I paid $9.99 each.

spider  on December 4th, 2009

The reason people can sell them online for such rediculous prices are because people pay for them. If people didnt pay 60 to 70 dollars for them then the sellers online would return them to the stores or be stuck with 400 hampsters, but as long as the can get that much for them then they are going to buy them all up and sell them for as much as they can. Stop buying them at these prices and they will be back in stores in no time.

wndy1  on December 5th, 2009

The stores will most likely get the pets over their online sites. The stores will have priority over online as you will likely make more than one purchase if you go to the store, WHETHER the store has them or not.

These comments are truly pathetic. About as much as this keyword spamming website. It’s called capitalism folks – you know that thing we go to war for sometimes. “Contact E-Bay and Amazon and complain?” They aren’t non-profit organizations that exist solely to make your life easier. It’s business, that socialist thing doesn’t work. Try to look a little deeper here. Then perhaps you could see the real reason these are so expensive. Hint – maybe the “thief” is you.
