Whitney Houston GMA Good Morning America Comeback Concert VIDEO, New CD ‘I Look to You’ – Watch Whitney Houston on GMA September 2, 2009

Here’s some of Whitney Houston’s GMA concert videos, this one is “I’m Every Woman” – Part 1:

Here’s “I’m Every Woman” Part 2:

And here’s Whitney Houston singing “I Look to You” — singing about God who helped her after all her strength was gone:

Here’s “My Love is Your Love” sung by Whitney Houston on Good Morning America:

Here’s Whitney with daughter Bobbi Christina:

And finally, the “Million Dollar Bill” song written by Alicia Keys for Whitney Houston:

Well, Whitney Houston’s long-awaited Good Morning America GMA concert special video (including an interview, I assume) is finally happening on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 — singing songs from her new CD called I Look to You.

I’m glad Whitney Houston took her time with this new CD and coming back into the spotlight healthy and happy and whole, I hope.

With all the drama about Whitney not wanting to keep doing the reality TV show that Bobby Brown reportedly wanted to do — it’s good to see Whitney Houston on her own and coming back out with music that it seems like we’ve been waiting to preview since last Christmas.

Hope Whitney Houston’s New CD is as Good as Some Songs on Her Past Ones…

Like the It’s Not Right But It’s Okay song I love from her My Love Is Your Love album.

Wow — that album came out in 1998? Eleven years ago? Oh my, I didn’t realize it had been that long.

But those lyrics to that song, talking about catching a cheating husband: “You said it was one of your boys down on 54th Street / Well why did 2-1-3 show up on Caller ID?” and “If six of you had dinner then four of you were really cheap / Because only two of you had dinner / I found your credit card receipt” and “The phone rings…you turn and look at me / Why’d you turn and look at me?”

So good I know the stuff by heart. You gotta hear the echo on the “Why’d you turn and look at me?” part to really hear that great composition and soulfullness and heart-felt pain that takes time to record and report and convey.

I hate to see when artists’ rush their comebacks and then come out with crap. Glad Whitney’s not doing that.

up here on ABC’s YouTube video soon after Whitney Houston’s September 2, 2009, comeback appears on live TV.

Glad to see her back. We all know Whitney Houston is a girl from the church — and we’ve been following her since those days she first exploded onto the scene with that blonde curly weave and thin body and amazing voice — to the interview days where she famously proclaimed “crack is whack” but appeared to have problems with drugs.

But in that same interview, Whitney talked about the “Holy Ghost fire” that us church folks talk about — the fire that people would stretch their hands out towards people near the altar singing or practicing whatever gift God gave them, and we knew the Lord had her in the palm of his hand. We want her to stay there.

Here’s some footage of Whitney Houston’s Central Park concert, and already people are talking about her voice cracking. I’m glad she’s still alive, and I hope she’s okay:

I think Whitney has done a wonderful job with all she has been through. Whitney I love you keep up the good work and GOD will continue to see you through. For the haters let them hate. I don’t think her voice was cracking I just think I look to you is a very emotional, as well as spiritual song. It sound more like she was trying to hold back tears when she seen her mother crying. No one in this world that sings sounds how they did 20 years ago for God sake she is not 23 anymore. I Love You Whitney Houston you are truly one of a kind and the Best is yet to come keep up the good work. I know you have something in store for everyone that thinks they know what you have been through you are truly a testimony. Amen! You have been blessed with a gift from God anything you here negative is just that turn it into something positive and continue being you. She is human don’t act like you have never been through nothing or someone dear to you hasn’t. Quit judging celebrities they are human too.

I’m so proud of Whitney, actually watching her gives me goosebumps. Yes she doesn’t sound as strong as she used to but hey she still sounds good! Even the fact that she doesn’t sound as she strong as she used to she still sings better than more than half of these girls in the industry. I’m a teenager and I’m happy for real music coming back!
