Mase Might Come Back to Bad Boy Records – TMZ Talks to Mase, Who Says After the Deal is Done with Puff, He’ll Talk to TMZ…

I just watched the below video of Mase — also known as Ma$e, Pastor, and his real name, which is what? Oh yeah, Pastor Mason Betha — talking to TMZ after dissing them by turning his back at first when he didn’t know who the guy was. “I thought you were trying to slam-cam me,” Mase admitted at first.

I remember reading his book, Revelations: There’s a Light After the Lime, and watching Mase on Tyra.

In the book, he talked about getting saved — I remember on Tyra, Mase talked about being high and sleeping with some girl who invited him to church the next day. He said for some reason he said “Yeah” and went to church in a hoodie. Then the people said “Are you for real with this?” when he denounced his hip-hop and bling and stuff at the altar because they said “Tupac was in this same church in LA [I think it was LA] two weeks before he died saying the same thing.”

Anyway, I’ve been so glad about the way God pulled Mase away from the rap game and turned him around. I mean, he can still rap, that’s cool. I love the way Mary Mary has David Banner on their “Superfriend” track, despite what some church people say. Anyway, it was also funny the way Mase said so many women went to his church in Atlanta, but one Sunday he announced he was engaged — and the next Sunday, all these women didn’t show up — so we know they weren’t really there for Jesus. But at least they left and didn’t try to steal Mase away from his woman!

I look forward to the future stuff Mase will do. In his book, he goes a little far in surmising that anything that’s not pure gospel music can’t be from God. I know, I went thru a crazy “everything is evil” type of stage when I first got saved. I think the Lord just needed to dramatically counteract those of us who were in the world so long with something very different. Now, like the Bible says, “be ye well-balanced” — I hope and pray I’m a lot more of that. I hope Mase is, too. A lot of people still look up to him and he could do a lot of good if he hooks back up with Puff. I KNOW Puff believes in Jesus — did you see that episode where Sean “P Diddy Puff Daddy” Combs was begging atheist Bill Maher to just try Jesus? It was cute. “All to Jesus, huh?” Bill mocked. “Yeah!” Puff Daddy said seriously. Go ‘head Puff and Mase!
