★★★ Top Internet Fraud Scams of 2009 – Here’s List of Top Internet Frauds and Scams Currently Going on Now…

This is a scam -- this is only a scam...

This is a scam -- this is only a scam...

Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of research into the top scams on the web these days in 2009, and get so angry with these scammers still stealing money from people by usually duping them into buying some kind of “kit” that promises to make them $5,000 per month “posting links on Google” or “applying for newly released Google jobs” if they only pay $1.87 or $1.97 or usually some multiple of 7 for some reason nominal fee.

But it turns out the top Internet scams of 2009 are charging people $70 or $80 per month and making it hard to cancel

And that’s the scam.

People see the big and bold $1.87 and think: I won’t miss that small potatoes from my checking account. So they give over their credit or debit cards, not searching around the small print of the website (or small, tiny “Terms and Conditions” link) where they’d find the truth — that these top Internet scammers of 2009 are really charging them a lot more than $1.87 once they get those credit and debit card numbers.

It’s called the negative “opt-out” feature or automatically “opt-in” feature, whereby the top Internet scammers think they’re in the clear by writing somewhere on their website that although they’ve usually used Google’s name all big and bold — and CNN and other reputable sites’ names — that they aren’t really affiliated with Google, and oh yes, when you sign up to get their little fake kits, you are opting into some kind of permission to deduct monies from your debit card or charge your credit card ASAP.

Good thing the FTC is cracking down on the top Internet fraud scammers…

…with the FTC filing complaints against some of them in 2009. I’m sure more are to come.

In the meantime, if you’ve fallen for any of these scams I’ve written about below, cancel your credit card and or debit card immediately. Report the crime to the FTC and Internet Crimes Section of the FBI, write about it, warn others about it, leave a comment with any new named scams or any experience with the below list of current 2009 top Internet crimes stealing money from people online:

A legitimate company will not ask for fees when offering thier work at home help. they will tell you what equipment you will need to eprform the job, and assist you from there, but will not ask for fees.

keep one thing in mind peeps, if sounds to be a lot of money for doing nothing, who would pay you to do nothing all day?

BE AWARE SCAM IS EXACTLY WHAT U GET!

I hit a a link off of the VH1 Website under “Sponsored Links” just to see what it was about. It said
“$97/Hour Part-time Job Jessica Simpson”
It took me to what had NOTHING to do with Jessica Simpson & is NOT affiltiated with her in ANY way, or VH1. The story, however, LOOKED like a legitimate story…..and it was about someone in the town I LIVE in….
After reading the story I hit the link to go to the sign up page, to investigate this so called “kit” for ONLY 2.95 S & H. The Initial cost was 9.95, NOT 2.95, SO I read the extremely, super-fine print to the obscure left of the credit card info. After reading the fine print, BEFORE I put in ANY information about my card, it said that my card would be charged 39.95 PER MONTH, unless I chose to cancel in the first 30 DAYS. To cancelt to go to a website, which I tried on another tab only to find THAT WEBSITE DIDN’T Exist! BEWARE!!!

I almost got scamed with one of these secret shopper web sites. They sent me over $7,000.00 Thousand Dolars in Money grams and company fake checks that I was suppossed to take to my bank and cash and keep $300.00 dolars as payment.I was then supppsed to send them the rest of the money via money gram. I checked the companies before I tried depositing the checks. (Whish I really never intended to deposit in the first place) It was way too much money and I started getting suspisious. Sure enough,Had I gonne and deposited these checks, I would have been out of$7,000.00. I am sick and tired of all these hirrible people. Some one has to do something about these internet scams.

I actually paid $197 for a kit to teach me how to do data entry forms. When I clicked on Module I, it instantly redirected me to a program for “How to Make a Fortune Online Processing Rebates.” This was not the program for which I paid. I first called the 800 number listed on the confirming invoice/receipt which I received by email. The representative’s continuous reply was that she could not find any record of my account, in spite of the order number which I gave her. As instructed on the invoice, I sent an email requesting a refund to OnlineDataInsti_refunds @esellerate.net I have never received a reply. This is a SCAM. Stay away from it.

I actually paid $197 for a kit to teach me how to do data entry forms for large well-known companies. The charge on my bank statement said “DRI*DATA INSTITUTE”. When I clicked on Module I, it instantly redirected me to a program for “How to Make a Fortune Online Processing Rebates.” After reading through the instructions, I realized that this was a program in which I did not wish to be involved and it was not the program for which I paid. Mary Anne Kennedy and Jennifer Davis were the “pitchmen” I first called the 800 number listed on the confirming invoice/receipt which I received by email. The representative’s continuous reply was that she could not find any record of my account, in spite of the order number which I gave her. Then I sent an email requesting a refund to OnlineDataInsti_refunds@esellerate.net as I was instructed to do on the invoice. I sent 3 messages over the next week and have never received a reply. This is a SCAM. Stay away from it.

I fell for the Google Profit from Home Scheme. I hope I did cancell all the subscriptions I gave permission to be enrolled.

I have been browsing a lot regarding this scams. My observation is that maay if not all of them are posted as links on sites affiliated to AOL like PoPEater, Finance, Sport.

I do not understand how this thing still works for them after all the negative publicity. probably someone have to go on TV to reveal the scheme (Looking the site structures and the patterns, I am pretty sure it is one source under different names).
