Thetribunedaily.com scam pitching Internet payday and Google Profits Home Business kit for Google scam
Thetribunedaily.com is blocked from showing ads on my websites.
Can’t remember what site I was on — since my net connection went down for a sec — but The Tribune Daily fake ad popped up, leading to Home Business Kit for Google scam at secure5.s3curehost.com, which talks about YourProfitGateway.com and says “You will be billed $79.90…every month thereafter for continued services and hosting of your Visual Webtools software unless canceled by You.”
Claims you can cancel by “calling toll-free at 1-800-497-4988″
The “Google Profits” scam at https://ssl.secureformnet.com/gp1/pb1/imk3/?caid=31&affid=1286 says:
“Subscriber agrees to pay a one time fee of $99.00…In addition, the subscriber will be provided access to an online Resource Center which will bill at $47.50…we will re-bill every thirty one days at $47.50 per month until cancelled by calling 1-866-995-9812.”
So if you gave your credit or debit card number to The Tribune Daily folks…
…call your credit card or debit card number and report the fraud — try and call their number and cancel, but other customers who’ve been hit by other frauds like this have had problems cancelling.
I suggest you get a new card number — and follow the suggestion of your bank or credit card company and put it all in writing.
