Wow, if this really is Solange’s new haircut pic below and not some Photoshopped deal like Demi Moore’s recent mohawk fake pics, then I’m saying: Go for it, Solange!
I say this as I gladly sit here with tree braids cornrowed so tightly in my head that I’ve taken Tylenol PM two nights in a row after getting them put in. Don’t know if I’d have the cahonas to ever go a low a Solange’s new haircut, all low and teeny weeny fro like, but you gotta applaud the girl for making such a drastic change in the land of weaves.
Which reminds me, Solange’s new haircut has me thinking of the clip I saw of Chris Rock’s new “Good Hair” movie coming out this October 2009, with all these black stars talking about their weaves. Stay tuned, but peep the pic of Solange:

i think solange just did this B/S because she gets no attention and no one likes her muzik and beyonce is and the spotlight and she would always be she is just pulling a brittany spears stunt trying toget some attention now we can really tell who the pretty sister is and its not you omg look at all that nappy hair on your head….your baby is cute he must of got his looks from his dad lol.glad you didnt pull this stunt before you got married are eles he would of never put a ring on it but like i said you just gave every body a laugh out this situation.i thought u were ok looking with your hair but this just proove you are pure UGLY.YALL CANT HAVE THE SAME PARENTS.IDK
Black people. Some of us are (sadly) so brainwashed. It is ridiculous. It’s a brainwashing from generations, even centuries back. The only reason why any of you think that her natural hair is ugly or crazy is because you have long believed what someone else has told you about yourselves. It’s 2009 people. Wake up! It’s hard to believe that you dark, black, beautiful people were the first humans on earth. It’s hard to believe that we were born of kings and queens from the most ancient civilization. And still we are the most self-loathing people on the planet.
I applaud Solange and any other black woman who is not afraid or ashamed to embrace her OWN hair. Her OWN texture.
When will be stop being ashamed of who we really are. And for those of you who will say that I am some type of black power fanatic. Call it what you want. I say it’s about black knowledge of self. If knowledge is power then, I guess it is black power. Maybe if black people had the right knowledge about ourselves and where we come from, we would have power over our own lives. No one would be able to tell you that you need to “look like them” to be accepted.

The way i see it is whatever floats your boat. We don’t know how long her hair was to begin with so maybe it wasn’t such a drastic change. The public eye is brutal, she’s just a regular person..&&no matter how much you talk about her and say she’s crazy or ugly..she’ll STILL be killing your yearly earnings…HAHA!
