Sarah Palin Indictment? Palin Says No! Embezzlement? No! Why Did Sarah Palin Quit?

Update: Sarah Palin has come out with both guns blazing against HuffPo and all the other news websites (see link below) that say she’s under Federal investigation for embezzlement. Read the report about no federal investigation here…

“Sarah Palin resigned as governor,” my husband told me yesterday. What? Huh? Why would Sarah Palin quit? Some said it was to concentrate on a 2012 presidential run. But that didn’t make sense — seems one would remain governor (insert English accent on that word guv’nr) to align yourself for the presidency. Now today rumors of an impending embezzlement scheme are flying around the net, saying Sarah Palin may be indicted.

Is this Sarah Palin indictment over embezzlement scuttlebutt true?

We’ll see if the “Daily Kos” and “Examiner” and “Post Chronicle” and “Think Progress” and other sites reporting whispers of an impending Sarah Palin embezzlement indictment “iceberg” charge turn into sites like the Associated Press, CBS News, Reuters, ABC, MSNBC, the Today Show, 60 Minutes and others reporting the same thing when and if this story really breaks.

Right now the Sarah Palin indictment embezzlement rumors…

…sound similar to that other guy who got in trouble for using lumber paid for with public funds for his own gorgeous cabin. Who was that politico? Google is failing me right now.

So is it pure speculation or will this Sarah Palin story grow legs?

I’ve been turning over in my mind other reasons why Sarah Palin would quit now. Was the pressure on her family and kids not being off limits too much in this blogospheric world? Is Palin taking time to care for her son with Down’s Syndrome? Was the wake of the David Letterman melee too much?

Maybe. I know Palin is Christian, so maybe she knew within that it was time to leave. But to dedicate your life to a career in politics and to quit now seems odd. I hope this is the end of the story and Palin and her progeny brood can go live a happy life out of the spotlight.

We shall see… and know as we are known.
