News7dailynyc.com SCAM selling Home Income Profit System for $139.95 then $39.95 monthly

by Paula Mooney on July 27, 2010

Saw a scam ad, unfortunately on the site I write for, Examiner.com. I was reading another Examiner’s interesting article when I saw the scam ad on News7dailynyc.com.

Same old spiel about “Kelly Richards” making all this money online from some “Home Income Business Kit” they claim is only like $2.99 or whatever, but when you get to the “MyInternetCashTactics.com” scam site at this website…

https://www.myinternetcashtactics.com/c/GHD73H9D9IAK0/Default.aspx?itm=RDCA02&s1=43443&s2=515286&s3=908218142&clickid=07_106973538_44ec414d-f6cd-4a77-9e86-2ece84b1a5bc&vn=000138288

…then you click on the bottom “Term and Conditions” link, you see the real charges:

Direct Commerce Academy: When submitting this order, you agree to the trial offer for only the online shipping and handling fee of $2.97, which will provide you with instant access to our entire system.  Once your three-day trial period is up, you will be charged a one-time fee of $139.95.  Following this activation fee, you will receive a monthly charge of $39.95 for three months for full access to the training course.

The sad thing is all these websites that have accepted the ads — either knowingly or unknowingly, including Shine from Yahoo! and SFGate.com and other major players.

I see these types of scam ads on many major websites.

So the deal is — are there any sites to write for that don’t contain these ads?

you guys are all pathetic. morons like you shouldnt be issued credit cards in the first place. the company lists the terms and conditions on the site and they have to abide by their policies. It isnt a scam. Your all just a bunch of whiney jerks who feel above policy because of what YOU want. if you dont want to be held responsible dont sign up for it. If your stupid and lazy enough to think that you can make 6000 dollars per month working from home and doing nothing, you need to reevaluate why your getting “scammed” read the terms and conditions in the future and quite biching.

They got me for the $2.97 but i have my cancellation code so my money better be put back. A guy tried his best to try and even offer me the program for payments of 3 dollars. you know it is a scam when they will do just about anything!

To whom it may concern,I signed up for your work at home based internet service, had the $2:97 taken off my debit card and then you turn around and take $71.90 and then $72.18 and when I called the number that I was given by my card company your company is goinh to tell me they only took off $68.71 and nothing else, but I have two transactions taken off my card.So either refund my money back or get me my work at home based internet up and running so I can make some money. Sincerly mompolen

Me too. I called them about the charges. They said I accepted the terms and conditions. I accepted to pay $2.99 not $139.00 and $39.99 a month. I called the fraud Dept of my bank to cancel my credit card because they now have it.

Yup, I was scammed too! I can’t believe I fell for this crap. I just paid the 2.97 tonight, and then decided to google it and see if it’s legit. I’m glad I found this website. I’ll be calling in the morning to report my credit card stolen.

Yep…me too, Unfortunately I came accross this blog site after I went through the $2.97 and the “VIP” $29.00 but I didn’t click the Yes link for the “website setup” as I became suspicious after I read that they would make a one time charge of $139 and then $39.99 monthly charge on my credit card. I think that the “website setup” link is the kicker that sends your permission for the other charges after the trail period. So yea sorry guys but it did tell you that you would be charged the other fees after the trail BUT it doesn’t inform you of the EXACT point at which you would be giving your permission, in other words “When you click on this Link, you are giving your permission for the fees as stated above” or something to that effect. That would have helped most of you here I believe and it would be the correct practice for an above board company to do so.
I tried a number listed in one of these posts (1 877 304 1477) but it just gave a busy signal the whole time.
I promply called 1 800 381 1681 (thanks to garfield for this number as I had forgotten to write it down while it was briefly on screen) approx 15 minutes after I enrolled (so when they tell you that you are not in the system and to call back in 24 hours…that’s BS) it was answered immediately and I spoke with a lady with not easily inderstandable English and cancelled the account. She told me that the first two charges would be coming out and I told her that I didn’t care and just cancel the account immediately. I did not want to lose $139 all over the sake of $30 odd dollars. She didn’t have a confirmation number to give me for cancelling but said that I would receive an E-mail (yea, lets see). Oh yea as for our friends post above “KRAINE” with the odd grammer, he probably works for them. Would love to ask her/him how much money s/he has actually earned since enrolling ;-/

This company is running a SCAM, if it were not then they would be UP FRONT about their charges rather than insisting in their spiel that you will ONLY be charged a minimal shipping fee and hiding in small print on another page that they will charge huge additional charges if you don’t call and cancel a “membership” you didn’t even know you signed up for. BLAME THE DOGGONE COMPANIES THAT USE UNDERHANDED TACTICS TO STEAL MONEY FROM PERSONAL ACCOUNTS!!! It’s like saying it is okay to steal money you promised not to as long as you were crossing your fingers!!! “Well, my fingers were plainly crossed in my pocket…all you had to do was look…shame on you!” Ridiculous…!!!
