Hi Nidhi

Right now I'm trying a bunch of things.

Yeah, I delved back into buying Adwords ads to bring traffic to my sites, which contain Amazon affiliate products, plus lots of other affiliate products like iTunes and stuff from Linkshare, CJ.com, etc.

And I also pitch affiliate productions like Google stuff that they pay you commission of $1 or so on, but Google is changing that stuff now if you read their Inside Adsense blog.

Now I'm concentrating on buying Adwords when I can, and seeing where the Lord leads on what to do next -- maybe I won't need any of the Adwords after a while to brand my sites.

Maybe I will...

I plan to write up a good post on all these experiments once I figure out which one works the best.

Thanks,
Paula

Paula,

Are you saying that you invest in Adwords to bring in traffic, while the main revenue earnings from your website is AD revenue? Because I did not see any other products being sold here. Am I right?

Thanks, Yuwanda.

That's a good heads' up.

Man -- $250 a day?

That makes me almost want to write SEO, almost...

But I'm all about SEM these days. I guess the best of both worlds fits in.

Paula,

Just had to comment on this. I recently started writing SEO content for internet marketers (talk about a learning experience).

Content is what drives traffic to websites and learning how to write means throwing out a lot of "proper grammar."

When you mentioned "stop words," I had to giggle because before I started SEO writing, I'd never even heard of the term.

Following are two tips for your readers:

1. Optimize for a phrase instead of a word. Most surfers type in 2-3 word phrases, instead of a single word when they are searching. So, when writing content for your site, keep this in mind.

2. Search engines don't usually recognize punctuation, so, for example, if you are optimizing a page for the term "Texas mortgages" it can appear like this:

It's easy to get a mortgage in Texas. Mortgages in the state require the following: ...

The period between the two phrases will not be counted. Just something to keep in mind. When you're trying to get between 3-5% density in a 500-word article for an awkward phrase -- or any phrase -- this can be helpful.

FYI, I'm now making $250/day (sometimes more) as an SEO writer. It's some of the easiest money I've ever made as a freelance writer -- and I've been doing this since 1993.

For those interested in starting a career as an SEO writer, I recently published an ebook on the subject. Details be found here: http://www.inkwelleditorial.com/e11-excerpt.htm

Thanks for sharing your observations from "standing around reading for free!" Best of luck in 2008.

Best,
Yuwanda Black, Publisher
