Miracle Suit swimsuits – Did I own one of these hold-you-in swimming suits?

Spring and summer must already be here, because the the Miracle Suit store on Amazon is no doubt booming, and the searches for Miracle Suit swimwear are probably going up day by day.

I, for one, am planning a trip to Disney World, so the workouts and healthier eating will increase as the pounds and flab decrease on me. Gotta look fabulous against those skinny minnies at the pool!

I remember searching for a long time for a swim suit combination that I love: a fit, jog bra-like top with boy short pants that hold you in good. You’d be surprised how hard it was to find that combination. I erred on the side of too big — or waited too late and got the bigger sizes that were left, and ended up “swimming around” in size 12 tops with bottoms that were kind of tight. Go figure.

But these Miracle Suit swimsuits are offering me good new options.

Miracle Suit swimwear offers good sizes, colors

Women Miraclesuit 1 Piece SwimSuit Duzette Tank Swimwear Talle Retails for 144 bucks but runs around 94 bucks on Amazon.com as of this writing in sizes 8 10 12 14 or 16

This Women’s Miracle Suit 1 Piece SwimSuit Duzette Tank Swimwear Talle in Sizes 8 10 12 14 or 16 is so cute it had me saying, “I wish I were a swimsuit model” for a quick and crazy second there.

By the by, I didn’t know Miracle Suit sold shapewear, too.

This Miracle Suit Womens Sonatina Swimsuit is listed at $132 as of this writing on Amazon.com, plus they have the cute berry color that looks kind of magenta to me online.

They also have slate (which looks gray), chocolate and the ever-popular black for its slimming qualities.

And sizes that range from 6 – 16 don’t hurt.

The back looks scooped low, but the way the rushing is in the front makes it look like there might be enough booby support.

(I just love the way they have a girl who looks like she all of 12 years old and a size 2 or less modeling a “Miracle Suit” — it would help more if a woman of “means” and hips modeled the thing. But she’s cute nonetheless, and working!)

Good enough coverage?

Women's Black Miraclesuit 1 Piece SwimSuit Underwire Sequin Trim Slimming Swimwear Talle got a good review from an Amazon customer who said the pic didn't do it justice

The Miracle Suit Womens Escape Swimsuit might offer a bit more cleavage privacy — but a lot of these suits look like you’ve got to be prepared to cover up those stretch marks with tanning in the sun and a little heavy type of body make up if you want sport these miracle suits.

Oh goody, at least they’ve got an older woman — a Raquel Welch type who looks beautiful — wearing the Miracle Suit Womens Escape Swimsuit to give us more ideas about how they might look on us.

The swimsuits are light on customer reviews, but this Women’s Black Miracle Suit 1 Piece SwimSuit Underwire Sequin Trim Slimming Swimwear Talle in Sizes 8 10 12 14 or 16 has one thus far from a woman who says the pic doesn’t do it justice.

“Retails $144,” reads the Amazon.com title — but the price as of this writing is $94.99 on Amazon. I wonder if that price will go up when swimsuit season is in full swing?

She says that the suit is beautiful. It sounds like a nice, vacation-ey kind of suit, and not just one you’d wear to your local health club pool to do laps in.

Did I buy a Miracle Suit before?

Although I do believe I owned a black Miracle Suit (or some kind of shapewear suit) that held me in nicely. I wore it so often to my work-out place for swimming and hot-tubbing that the outer layer separated from the inner part and I eventually threw it away or gave it away.

All suits seem to wear thin at the bottom or at some parts eventually, especially when you use them a lot like me and get your money’s worth out of them.

The Isabella Miracle Suit looks pretty - and is that a supportive halter top? Back pic, please Miracle Suit people!

The Miracle Suit Women’s Isabella Swimsuit is pretty, and it looks like a halter top (a cut that usually offers me good boob support) but since I don’t see a pic of the back, I can’t be certain.

Shopping online versus buying swimwear in the stores

When I can, I hit up Dick’s Sporting Goods for lots of swimwear options, if they are in season and not relegated to that small corner in the back.

I’ve also shopped for swimsuits in Target, right near the junior’s section — but I don’t always find the boy shorts bottoms I like. And the bikini-type tops are not necessarily what I want.

I did once find a great Gottex swimsuit in TJ Maxx. It was brown with cool decorative design across the front, and it offered good coverage and lift for the top and the boy short bottoms I love.

“Is that a size 10?” one woman asked me about the Gottex suit in the health club.

Yep, I answered, while slipping in mention of the Holy Spirit that told her I was a Christian and led off to a whole ‘nother good discussion. Turns out she was a believer, too.

She was tall, like me, about 5′ 11″ or so — and she’d overcome an injury that had kept her out of the gym for a bit, so she was on her way to losing weight, but wanted a suit like mine because we were the same height.

I bemoaned the fact that I didn’t buy two of those Gottex suits when I had the opportunity. They had a red one in TJ Maxx when I bought the brown one, and after I went back, there were no more.

So shopping in stores and finding a great swimsuit is wonderful, but when that fails us, buying suits like the Miracle Suit on Amazon.com can be a great replacement.

I’ll just try and follow the sizing chart closely and pray for the best: a healthy body that fits in a beautiful suit and looks awesome!

I'm bringing sexy back!

Okay, I see they even have this conservative looking Miracle Suit Solitaire ’11 One Piece Tank from the front, with a sexy back (at least from my 41-year-old perspective) that looks hot and is really inspiring and prompting me to hit that elliptical and get back to my 5k workouts.

Those non-boy-short bottoms are a little less forgiving, and when I’m working out and lifting weights and my thighs are a little tighter I feel better and more confident in my swimsuits. I still thank and praise God for a fast metabolism. A lot of the food I chow down on doesn’t show up on my body in too much weight.

But, like Michelle Obama, when those clothes start getting a bit too tight on me, I’m grateful that it’s able to come off kind of easily.
