Judge Sonia Sotomayor was born June 25, 1954 — making her almost 55 years old as of this writing. Judge Sonia Sotomayor’s race is also published in her bio: born to Puerto Rican parents, she is the first Hispanic to make the Supreme Court. Obama is speaking now about how she was promoted by a Republican President in the past, George H. W. Bush — and next by a democratic President, Bill Clinton.
I’m glad Obama is diversifying the Supreme Court and other government factions.
But Where Does Judge Sonia Sotomayor Stand on Abortion? Pro-Life or Pro-Choice?
Well, that same biography of Judge Sotomayor says there are no published decisions on abortion yet out there — so we will have to wait and see how Sotomayor votes to know which way she leans on abortion, be it pro-choice or pro-life.
Thank God for Chief John Roberts and Sam Alito on the Supreme Court bench to balance out the pro-life believers. We’ll see where Judge Sotomayor falls on the abortion viewpoint spectrum.
However, there is one report of Judge Sonia Sotomayor’s abortion vote against a pro-choice group…
…written up on BeliefNet here with the details, so there is hope that Sotomayor may be fair on the abortion decision. Again, we’ll see.

People should have a right to their own body. The fetus in the woman’s body is it’s own body, it’s not the woman. It should have a right to life.
I can see that you do not believe in individual rights. Do you believe people have the right to carry a gun but not a right to their own body?
