I Look to You – Here’s Whitney Houston’s New Song, CD, Mp3 Heard on The Tom Joyner Morning Show… Whitney Houston Sings to God “I Look to You” When She’s Tired of Fighting
This morning, I heard the new song called I Look to You on the Tom Joyner Morning Show and thought at first it could’ve been a man the voice was so deep and resonant.
Then I realized it was a woman singing. Then I realized it was Whitney Houston singing the new song I’d only written about, called I Look To You, which is available to download on Mp3:

Our girl is back sounding decidedly like a grown woman who’s been thru a lot of pain and struggles.
And you can tell Whitney’s singing “I Look to You” straight to the Lord, Who is the only one who could keep Houston thru the rumors of drug abuse, of Bobby Brown flagrantly flaunting Karrine Steffans as his wife — as she described in Confessions of a Video Vixen, with people in a Marina Del Ray hotel calling her “Mrs. Brown” while Whitney Houston no-doubt footed the bill.
Whitney’s Strength is Pervasive Thru Her New “I Look to You” Song…
And don’t forget to check for Whitney Houston’s GMA Good Morning America interview and performance on September 2, 2009 — and especially Whitney Houston telling all I hope on Oprah on the season premiere show of Oprah, airing September 14, 2009.
The Tom Joyner Morning Show folks were joking that Whitney Houston was coming back slowly and saving the high notes for later. (After they ragged on Maxwell’s “Pretty Wings” beautiful song whereby he growls out one chorus. “She must’ve had on some good wings that day,” one joked. Then they talked about how many New Orleans folks called in and texted complaining Mayor Ray Nagin hadn’t done enough. “He’s not your Nagin, huh?” Tom said. “He’s still my Nagin.” Sybil said, “But you don’t have to live there.” True, he agreed.)
But anyway, back to Whitney. I Look to You is in fact a deeper register than those blonde-highlight curly weave days of “How Will I Know?” and “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” — but we aren’t those 20-something super-skinny, flighty girls anymore are we?
We’re strong women, looking beyond the skies and to the hills from whence cometh our help.
Live long enough, we’ll need to look there.
I almost want to cry seeing her back and healthy and strong again.
Favor, favor, favor. Keeping us around.
