Hair Weave Video - The View Integrated Hair Weave, Wigs Segment with Sherri Shepherd … Watch video clips online here soon…
The View’s segment about hair weaves and wigs with Sherri Sheperd was amazing on Friday, November 30, 2007.
(I don’t see the hair weave video clip up yet on The View’s video page here, but check back often because when I find it, I’ll post it in this post.)
That’s because I’d been begging God for a video of how to do that integrated (or hidden) hair weave that Lavette Slater showed a video of how to do on The View.
I’d decided that the micro-braids were too tiny and too much for me to keep up with, so I stayed up till 6:30 a.m. this morning taking most of them out.
I’d been having dreams of my hair being loose and pretty and free and short sticking up over my head with me running my fingers thru it, and I know the Lord gives me dreams in which He speaks to me, so I knew it was time.
The other night I stayed up searching all over the web for that type of integrated hair weave idea they did on The View — the black woman who had it had curly hair and they said it would last around three months.
In the video, Lavette Slater showed herself cornrowing the woman’s hair and grabbed little pieces of loose hair to weave into each cornrow about every few braids.
It looked really good — I don’t think she did the sew-in at all.
Didn’t see any needle and thread — I just bought some, but don’t think I’ll use it.
I also bought hair weaving hair on a weft, but I’ll still use that to try and create what I saw online at this girls’ photo page, which she calls tree braids, but they’re not loose like other tree braids I’ve seen.
See how the front and sides of her hair show the cornrows?
I’ll probably leave more hair around my hairline free, so I can pull it back if I want like the woman on The View was reportedly able to do.
But you can barely see the scalp in these other photos…
I like the final result of her hair, and hope to God mine comes out just as nice or nicer…
It’s amazing the lengths we black women will go thru to look nice.
But my Father has impressed upon me that it’s time to stop half-stepping, to be bolder and to get my “crowning glory” together to represent Him fiercely!
The View’s website also says that…
• The seamless hair extensions are from Hair and Accessories Inc. - Email hair@tx.rr.com for info.
• And the weaving loose hair is from E.R.E.N.A. Hair Center, who can custom blend your exact hair (even gray! I wouldn’t want my gray blended in…) But contact info@erenhairscenters.com for more info.
I wasn’t as interested in the Shake-N-Go half wigs and such, but here’s their website if you are.
