Scammy scammers pitch "Google Wealth Connection" on WebAnsersPro.com Scam Website Designed to Look Like Yahoo Answers

Okay, just found another scam — it’s an ad that popped up when I was on NYDailyNews.com, and it’s called Google Wealth Connection on WebAnswersPro.com, a site set up to look like Yahoo Answers.

Someone bought the WebAnswersPro.com dot com name on 07-22-2009, and obviously since that time, the little scammers have been busy setting up the site and advertising it. Here’s their IP Address:

WEBANSWERSPRO.COM SITE INFORMATION

http://www.webanswerspro.com/

IP: 72.52.252.224
IP Location: Lansing, United States

Unfortunately, they are getting about 800 hits a day. I hope people Google Google Wealth Connection and SCAM and Web Answers Pro SCAM before they give away their credit card numbers!

These scammers promise if you try the “Automatic Wealth Connection” you’ll make all this money while you sleep or mow the lawn, but if you click thru to their terms and conditions you’ll see the real charges:

“…following your risk-free 3-day trial to MyMoneyPlan, you’ll be charged the monthly subscription fee of $49.84…[and there's some crap about] SearchProfitSystem…you will be billed $28.71…”

And the number and address they give you to cancel at 1-888-673-3212 is probably fake, or someone will answer who won’t give you your money back:

Automatic Wealth Connection
93 S Jackson St #20205 (yeah, a Google search of “93 S Jackson St #20205″ tells me that’s a po box location)
Seattle, WA 98104-2818

Why isn’t GOOGLE and the respective corporations who have had their logo’s used to “authenticate” their claims done anything to get this scam shut down?

I work for a credit card company and the sad thing is, even canceling your credit card and getting the number changed won’t stop them from charging your card, they have ways around it once they get your number. Your best bet if you become a victim is to report it as internet fraud, eventually a class-action lawsuit will have to come of this scam.

Yea I would like to provide that the guy wouldn’t cancel my account right away! I had to call back to officially cancel. The initial gentlemen just kept telling me “you don’t care about your family” because I didn’t want to do business with them. I only wanted to do the trial to see what was up. They also are supposed to send official information about this opportunity while you are in the trial period. What they do is wait until your trial is up, and then they send the email on the 4th day. So it’s no trial at all. No up front opportunities to do or view anything within the 3 day trial interval.

I would like to have a chat regarding this scam. Im conducting a personal investigation on this organization. Its “possible” that this is a terrorist organization, and I have reason to believe that they are hiding behind numerous business names in that same address, IF you have any info that may help please contact me via email, because the call center for this business is located in the Phillipines and the main “offices” are in Vegas and Seattle, the FBI will be the next call I make then local authorities in these locations seeings how I have ALOT of evidence of these scammers. ANYTHING more you may have to help will help keep America safe.If you wish to not be involved I understand, no worries, I have nothing but time to find more info on my own.

I’d cancel the credit card I used if I were you. Wouldn’t trust the scammers having it. Contact your financial institution and report what happened.
