Diana Ross on Michael Jackson’s Death: Find Diana Ross’ Michael Jackson Statement Below…”I can’t stop crying,” Diana Ross says.

When I first learned of Michael Jackson’s death suddenly at age 50, one of the first people I thought about was Diana Ross.

While the news talked to Donna Summer and plenty of other people giving their comments about Michael Jackson’s death, I asked my husband, “I wonder where Diana Ross is?”

That’s because everyone knows how much little Michael Jackson adored Diana Ross — as portrayed in Dreamgirls, with Beyonce as Diana Ross inside the room with her cohorts while the little actor playing Michael Jackson waits outside the door, listening, waiting for “Deena” as Diana Ross.

So I’m checking Google News here for any “Michael Jackson” and “Diana Ross” news reports listing any statement she’s made.

Update: Diana Ross had reportedly said she’s shocked and can’t stop crying…

I too wonder where Miss Ross is in all of this. A lady of her stature and influence in Michael Jackson’s life will hopefully voice her sympathy and condolences to the public and to the Jackson fans. Her website is of no help in this respect I have been diligently checking hourly for her to here her voice ring out to the millions of fans on Michael’s behalf. I am a life long fan of Miss Ross’ as well as my generation being defined by Michael Jackson. At 38 years old I have learned to be patient. I expect and demand as a fan of Diana’s that she make her voice heard. She stands to lose a great deal of her fans respect if she does not say something.

Maybe Diana is too shocked and upst to say anything as is Elizabeth Taylor. My thoughts are with the Jackson family and friends. God Bless you Micheal XX

What a loss to the world. The tragic news of his death has rocked everyone who loved him throughout the world. His definative music will live on forever. My thoughts are with his entire family, his three children and the many friends who were so special to him. Diana Ross, Berry Gordy, Stevie Wonder, and Elizabth Taylor. I do hope you receive the comfort, care and friendship you need to help you get through this very sad time. Goodbye Michael Jackson, you’re the greatest.

Diana Ross, I am certain, is mourning the loss of her friend right now and the last thing on her mind is making a statement. Say she will lose her fans is selfish on your part. Let everyone touched by Michael grieve; no demands should be made on anyone.

Diana Ross’ statement-

“I can’t stop crying, this is too sudden and shocking,” Ross says in a statement. “I am unable to imagine this. My heart is hurting. I am in prayer for his kids and the family.”

I agree. Diana needs to say something. It was an incredible past that those two shared and I deeply hope that she makes a statement soon. I understand that she is shocked and saddened but she really needs to make a statement. It is the right thing to do. Gladys Knight made a beautiful statement on “The Early Show” this morning. It was simply beautiful. Diana please come forth dear…say something. I know this is an especially difficult time for you but please say something. Just a few words go a long way.

Thank You Diana. Looks like she has said something. God Bless you dear. Take Care

Will u people calm down! Its barlely been 2 days since michaels passing, & yes diana as been there since that whole history began but she’s human, let this women grief. Why give her more grief only because her other contemporarys responsed a few hours ahead of her statement. This is about michael not about diana or other top notch stars. Let people grief on thier own time. She made her statement so there!! How else can u people point the axe at for not responding acccording to your watch.

Rod  on June 27th, 2009

I am sad over some of the comments here.

How can you be so insensitive to demand someone else you don’t even know manage their shock and grief on your time schedule?

How would you feel if someone did that to you?

We need to put ourselves in other peoples shoes.

DAVID MCKENZIE – YOU ARE A SELFISH ASS! Who are you to suggest when she should make her “statement.” Cheers to Mike, Rod, Todd and Cheryl. You all were right on point with your comments. Admittedly, I’ve been watching CNN, Good Morning America, Larry King (which I never watch) perusing the internet, hoping to see/hear any comments from Motown’s undeniable QUEEN – DIANA ROSS! And guess what, she did make her comment in her own time, in her own way. For anyone to suggest that she’d lose fans for not responding in THEIR time is simply sickening and TOTALLY UNTRUE! We have absolutely NO idea the closeness those two shared. Diana and Michael could have talked right before he died – we don’t know do we?? NO! Stop this attack on her. I remember seeing Michael giggling when Ross sat on his lap while she performed during the World Music Award ceremony in that blonde wig. Anyone remember that?? Undeniably, this sudden death has left a rippling effect around the world. True, we’ve heard comments from Cher, Donna Summer, Liza, Quincy, Gladys, Smokie, Berry and others. But just because we haven’t heard from Diana doesn’t mean anything. This is a devastating loss for her – devastating. They were in a movie together..they were on the cover of Ebony Magazine together titled the Two Ruling Stars of Show Business. And she – just like YOU – should be allowed her time to grieve in her own way. I can’t even imagine how she felt when she heard the news. I believe her son Evan and Michael were collaborating on music for Evan’s music career. Diana has TONS of support – starting with her own five children. Leave the diva alone please. We should be praying for a MOTHER who now has to learn how to live everyday without her SON..3 children who will grow into adulthood without there father, children who will never get the delight of seeing there father perform live again.. siblings who have to live without there beloved brother. Keep in mind, he was a SON and a Brother before he was “MICHAEL JACKSON” and he will always be a mother’s beloved son and brother. Perhaps the motown family will come together and pay tribute. Understand, this is not a washed up old queen like DAVID MCKENZIE, this is MICHAEL JACKSON. A MAN of grace, dignity and legions of fans around the globe.

I LOVED BOTH MICHEAL AND DIANA…….LEAVE HER TO GRIEVE IN PEACE. SHE, LIKE THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE WORLD, WERE AMAZED BY LITTLE MICHEAL AND ALL OF HIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN ADULTHOOD. HE WAS TRULY GIFTED AND A BLESSING FROM GOD. ITS ASHAME THAT MANY OF US, INCLUDING MYSELF, TURNED OUR BACKS ON HIM WHEN THE MEDIA FRENZY STARTED TO ATTACK HIM. I WON’T ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN WITH MS ROSS. THE BOSS IS DUE HER TIME TO SELF…………CARRY ON MS ROSS………..I STILL LOVE YOU.

Brenda  on July 8th, 2009

Rest in Peace Michael – you are much loved!
