Controversial photos of Miss California Carrie Prejean have been leaked online — Carrie Prejean made a statement last night saying that the photos of her were taken when she was 17, and that they mock her Christian faith.
Of the controversial pictures, Carrie Prejean says she’s not perfect. Indeed, none of us are.
This is the problem with coming out and taking a stand against those things we don’t believe in without first taking the beam out of our own eyes.
Of course, people will try and use the photos against Carrie Prejean’s stance on keeping marriage between a man and woman. I think as Christians, many of us first confess our faults to one another — and make sure we come out against the own sin in our lives and tell how God helped us get over first.
But His Word is true, and no bad photos any of us have taken — me included — will make it untrue. Forgiveness abounds to those who ask.
