Caretaker Gazette Jobs – Caretaker Gazette Jobs, Today Show Video About Taking Care of Beautiful Homes and Living Rent-Free

No wonder people are hitting up Care Taker Gazette aplenty right now, they want to subscribe to Caretaker Gazette to find jobs to live in homes — some gorgeous, like the San Francisco mansion shown in the below video, others more rustic — and they want to live in these homes rent free.

But the woman living in the San Fran home says she works some days 12 hours per day, so it’s not all a cakewalk:

But still, rent-free is great — especially for people struggling to find work or for those facing foreclosure.

I haven’t even been on the Caretaker Gazette site yet because I’m sure it’s so busy — but on the Today Show from this morning, September 3, 2009 — they said that the subscriptions to the Caretaker Gazette are up lately.

I’ll be they are.

I don’t know if Caretaker Gazette is free or not, but check it out.

The Caretaker Gazette is not a scam. It is a great resource. Every two months, a newsletter comes out with literally hundreds of available sits all over the world. Not only that, but an e-blast is sent out several times a week, with even more (brand new) ads from homeowners and sitters. We take care of properties and pets across the US and rely on websites like this. Our lives are so much simpler than most of the people we know, especially when it comes to finances. Thank you, Caretaker Gazette, for an amazing publication that has stood the test of time!

I don’t see how anyone can call this a scam. If you find the caretaking job you take is not foe you, then just find another one. A year ago, my husband and I decided to embrace this lifestyle. We sold our home and retired from our jobs. One year later we are happier than we have ever been. We are csretakers in a rural area, (which we LOVE) on a 175 acre camp. Only two months a year are there people here, otherwise we take care of the farm animals and keep the buildings fit. We are supplied with a nice, 3 bedroom house, utilities, food and a small salary. Life is uncomplicated and relaxing. This is the life we always wanted and it would not be possible without the Caretaker Gazette.

The Caretaker Gazette is great! I just subscribed to their online version – and within a month I took a housesitting gig from their site and will be living here in California rent-free for the next year while the homeowners are overseas.

I love the Caretaker Gazette. I interviewed its founder, Gary Dunn, for my book, “Educational Travel on a Shoestring” (2002) and he was also featured in the classic book “Your Money or Your Life” by Dominguez and Robin. Gary was an example of someone who downsized and simplified his life. I subscribed off and on to the Caretaker Gazette over the years and have recommended it to others. Gary and the GC have been around since 1983 (originally as a print edition).

I will comment on the Caretaker Gazette and say that I have had success using this source for finding caretaker jobs and also a few house sitting jobs.

Thanks for writing about The Caretaker Gazette. They have the best website I have found for rent-free living. I used to pay $865/month in rent – and now I’m living rent-free as a result of housesitting opportunities from their site.

I signed up to the Caretakers Gazette and within one hour after checking out their website it’s nothing but a scam and they refuse to refund the fee.
It’s nothing but a scam!
