As online affiliate marketers trying to hustle and sell as many Amazon products online as we can to increase our Amazon Associates income, it’s a great exercise to study what people have already purchased thru my Amazon Associates account — in hope of selling more of the good stuff.
You’ll see that during these times of economic downturn for some, people are buying faux designer handbags like the one pictured here.
Steve Harvey’s new book also did well. On Oprah, Steve Harvey said that he wrote the book not to make any money at all — he wasn’t thinking of making money with it.
So today I looked at the report of my year-to-date 2009 Amazon sales of what people actually bought on Amazon thru one of my blogs or PPC campaigns (when Amazon allowed that) to get an idea of what’s hot possibly.
Studying that list can help show a changing trend and blow away certain assumptions.
I was also surprised to know that cubic zirconia jewelry was trending upward lately, too, no doubt due to financial strains — or just due to people not wanting to drop the dough on a real diamond.
So if you’re an Amazon Associate and want to know what’s selling well, check Amazon’s best-seller lists often — but also check your own sales not just day to day, but also year-to-date so that you know what’s selling en masse.
