The Kindle: Amazon’s New Wireless Reading Device, has already sold out before Christmas 2007.

Amazon promises they’ll email you the back in stock date of the Kindle when you buy one online here — and they won’t charge your credit card till it ships.

But if you’re trying to order a Kindle as a special Christmas 2007 present for someone, you might also want a back-up gift because I’ve read reports that say the Kindle’s won’t be back in stock by Christmas 2007.

I’m not sure if those reports are true, so follow your gut…

At first I didn’t know if the Kindle would be a big hit.

But now I see why it is — with the ability to buy books ASAP and especially get newspapers and bunches of blogs right there on the screen, I’m thinking I just might buy myself a Kindle for Christmas 2007 -- or at least a reader I love.
